One of the oldest franchises in the NFL, the Chicago Bears were founded in 1920 as the Decatur Staleys. The team moved to Chicago the following year and in 1922 were renamed to the Chicago Bears. As well as being one of the most iconic franchises in the NFL, the Bears have also been one of the most successful. With nine NFL championships dating back to 1920, the Chicago Bears trail only the Green Bay Packers for the most in NFL history. Their lone Super Bowl win came in the 1985-1986 season as the ‘Monsters of the Midway’ posted a league best 15-1 regular season mark and capturing Super Bowl XX.
The Chicago Bears have appeared in the playoffs 28 times in their history and have captured 19 division championships, including four (2005, 2006, 2010, and 2018) in their current division, the NFC North.
The Bears’ have one of the most historic rivalries against the Green Bay Packers which dates back to 1921.
