The Chicago Cubs are a Major League Baseball team based in Chicago, Illinois. Founded in 1876, the Cubs are one of two teams to have won back-to-back World Series titles (in 1907 and 1908). They play their home games at Wrigley Field, located on the north side of Chicago. The Cubs have won three National League pennants since their last World Series win in 1908. In 2016, they ended a 108 year championship drought by winning the World Series against the Cleveland Indians. Since then, they've made it to four straight National League Championship series and have been perennial contenders for the postseason each year. The team is known for its strong fan base and iconic "W" flag that flies whenever they win a game at Wrigley Field.

In 1926, the stadium was again renamed, with the name Wrigley Field adopted by the city.
