The Los Angeles Dodgers were established in 1883 in Brooklyn before relocating to Los Angeles ahead of the 1958 season. The franchise was originally named the Brooklyn Atlantics, and has had seven different names in its history, including the Grays, Bridegrooms, Grooms, Superbas, Trolley Dodgers and Robins before being dubbed the Brooklyn Dodgers in 1932.
