The St. Louis Blues joined the NHL as an expansion team in 1967, and recently won their first Stanley Cup championship in franchise history in 2019. The team played in the Stanley Cup Finals in three straight seasons from 1968-1970, and returned to the finals in 2019 where they took on the storied Boston Bruins in a David-vs-Goliath final, defeating the Bruins in seven games.

The Blues sported the third-longest playoff streak in NHL history, making the postseason in 25 consecutive seasons from 1979 through 2004. The St. Louis Blues are members of the NHL's Western Conference, and play within the Central Division. The Blues play their home games in the Enterprise Center in historic downtown St. Louis, Missouri. The Blues played in St. Louis Arena from their inception through the 1994 season. The team colors are royal blue, gold, navy blue and white.

Over the years, the Blues have had some of the best players in the league sport the famous music note logo, including Brett Hull, Chris Pronger and Brendan Shanahan. All three players at least five seasons with the Blues, and are current members of the NHL Hall of Fame. Wayne Gretzky, nicknamed "The Great One" and widely known as one of the best players to ever play in the NHL, also played for the Blues in 1996.

The Blues are currently led by captain Brayden Schenn and coach Jim Montgomery.
