Seating
The Silverstein Arena is an awesome place for all you KC Mavs games! Because the entire arena is centered around the ice without levels, every seat has a unique view yet no obstruction views. If you're looking to see the face off first hand, sit by sections 105-106 or by sections 115-116. These sections are right at mid ice and give you the best view of both teams fighting for the puck. When sitting behind sections 100, 101 and 120, or sections 110-111, you'll get the best view of the puck going into the goal or an up-close view of the goalie blocking the puck. No matter where you sit, you'll be able to see all the action on the ice.

The Mavs are part of the ECHL, the East Coast Hockey League. Founded in 2009, a local newspaper held a contest to name the new expansion team coming to Missouri. First named the Missouri Mavericks, the team's entire trademarks were announced: name, logo, and colors. The team made its debut on November 13, 2009 at the Independence Events Center. Two years down the road, the Mavericks announced it would affiliate with the Chicago Wolves of the AHL for the 2011-2012 season.
In 2015, Lamar Hunt Jr., the son of Lamar Hunt, took 100% ownership of the Mavericks. Remember the name Lamar Hunt? That's because Lamar Hunt founded the Kansas City Chiefs! Under the new ownership of Lamar Hunt Jr., the Mavericks agreed to a two-year affliation with the New York Islanders. The Mavs were the Islanders secondary minor league team.
By 2016, the St. Louis Blues meshed with the Missouri Mavericks to cross-promote hockey in both Kansas and Missouri. By March 11, 2017, the Missouri Mavericks changed its name and announced the new name of the Kansas City Mavericks for the 2017-2018 season.
