Maroon 5 Biography
As a few high schoolers got together, Adam Levine, Jesse Carmichael, Mickey Madden and drummer Ryan Dusick, a group formed known as Kara's Flowers. However, without much success, the band decided to revamp itself. James Valentine came on the scene and the group renamed itself to who we know them now as Maroon 5.
How Did Marron 5 Get its Name?
Although the origins of the name Maroon 5 is unknown, there are speculations of how the band came to this name. One conspiracy is that Levine and Carmichael both attended Five Towns College in NYC and its college colors were maroon and white thus creating Maroon 5. However, no one (except the band) knows for sure.
